Nudity is one of the major themes of art history in general but photography in particular, has the possibility of recording careful and subtle details, sometimes inaccessible to the direct view of human eyes. Precisely the technique, the use of the latest technology and a certain language mastery, allow an addressing of the public in multiple variations, something that the artist Yaki Yaskvloski has chosen, in order to play a subtle game with lights and allow forms to abandon darkness, with the magic of eroticism. In this role, although the author bases herself on the classical approach of the human body, she enhances its curves and volumes, and in this treatment she achieves the same degree of abstraction, trying to fool the observer on the accuracy of the forms, but full of creative suggestions. The “chiaroscuro” creates singular drama in the picture. Yaki makes use of the magic of fragmentation of the human body by framing the image, so that the skin of her models seem to tremble under the cutting lights, generating special textures in her art work as well as a sort of sensations in the viewer of her pictures, transmitting a strong but delicate sensuality. It is in this particular task, product of a search for dialogue, in which Yaki attains her expressive and aesthetic maturity. ATAULFO PEREZ AZNAR |
